It is true that the reconstruction undertaken is enormous and will take a decade well and Saint-Martin is always more or less in the same state except that the road was opened to the Boréon several months ago ... that towards Molière is open but quite unstable with many sags.

The houses and roads impacted from the village always in the same state and the cemetery, which has lost some 150 burials, still ventilated.
The prevention fund for major natural risks, known as "Barnier Fund", is a tool to compensate individuals and destroy goods that have become dangerous.
91 houses have been completely destroyed, and 67 now on the edge of the cliff or partially destroyed. Provisional roads and bridges have been rebuilt and allow you to circulate as best they can. The repair of certain hiking trails have advanced but some remain closed like that of Madonne di Fenestre or that of Lake Autier above belvedere.

After the storm, the river bed went from 10 to 90 meters wide! And an area almost 100 meters wide will now be sanctuarized.
The future Touron activity zone, currently under construction, will host disaster victims. Lots of site equipment: concretenière, mechanical wheelbarrow, mini-chops ... were swept away by the furious river.
The Brewery of the Comté, located in the Saint-Nicolas district and swept away in the storm, is also being reconstitated on land at the place of "Pra Dou Majour".

In total, after the Alex storm, the damage will rise to nearly a billion euros for individuals and professionals covered by insurance and the State in the Alpes-Maritimes. The State has currently invested 572 million euros in reconstruction and insurance have compensated up to 257 million euros. This includes the development of sustainable infrastructure, resistant to future risks and compensation by the Barnier fund of the inhabitants located in areas which are now unconscious.
